  • 1 red onion
  • 3 pickles
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 200 g cream
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 50 g grated cheese (e.g. Cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the noodles: Place a large pot of salted water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add the Rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 10-12 minutes). Be careful not to overcook the noodles so they don't become mushy when baked.
  2. Sauté the ground beef: While the noodles are cooking, heat 2 tsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and diced red onion. Sauté the mixture for 5-7 minutes until the meat is browned and the onions are soft, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In a large bowl, mix together 200 g of cream, 2 tbsp of mayonnaise, 2 tbsp of ketchup, and 1 tsp of mustard. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. The sauce should be creamy and tangy.
  4. Combine everything: Once the noodles are cooked and the ground beef is sautéed, drain the noodles and add them to a large casserole dish along with the ground beef and sauce. Mix everything well to ensure the sauce is evenly distributed.
  5. Bake: Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Sprinkle 50 g of grated cheese evenly over the casserole mixture. Bake the casserole for about 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and melted. Keep an eye on it to avoid overbaking.
